Stan updated commissioners on the near-final Teamsters agreement, saying negotiators reached terms that include a one-time $2,500 stipend for 2025, a $3.70-per-position increase over the life of the contract (covering 2026–27), adoption of 4/10 work schedules and a proposed $500 uniform payment. Staff estimated the stipend line for 32 employees would cost roughly $90,000.
Separately Stan requested approval of several employee actions: raising Nick Kreeving’s salary to $102,300 to reflect his expanded duties as chief operations officer and redevelopment director; increasing Susanna Worrell’s pay (from $54.07 to $62.42 as stated in the hearing) because she now oversees Chase Building operations; and protected adjustments for Tom Hutchins and Robert Berg in the road department while eliminating one full-time position to offset costs. Stan said the net effect would produce salary and benefit savings in some lines and an overall giveback to the county of approximately $42,365 after reallocations.
Commissioners debated timing and whether some raises should be phased in; after discussion they voted by voice to approve the salary package and directed staff to process employee-action forms and request any needed additional appropriations when the contract is fully signed.
