Addison approves multiple contract payouts, sewer cleaning award and equipment purchase

The Village of Addison on Dec. 16 approved a series of procurement actions on the consent agenda, including final payouts to contractors for 2024 work, award of a sewer cleaning contract and authorization to replace a dump body on an existing truck.
Final payouts: the board approved a final payout of $24,757.15 to Globe Construction Inc. for 2024 concrete sidewalk, curb and ADA repairs (Bid 22-2-2, account 100.252-4180) and a final payout of $173,983.80 to Globe Construction for the 2024 concrete sidewalk and paver/brick replacement project (Bid 23-4-2, account 250.9925-4459). Public Works staff reported inspections were completed and work was satisfactory.
Sewer cleaning award: trustees approved awarding Bid 24-10-4 for large-diameter sewer cleaning to Hohrer Construction of Goodfield, Illinois, in a not-to-exceed amount of $22,296 to clean and inspect approximately 1,858 lineal feet of 21-inch vitrified clay sanitary sewer along Fullerton. Staff said three bids were received and references were checked.
Equipment purchase: the board authorized the purchase of a replacement dump body for a 2014 International dump truck from Henderson Products (via NPPGov contract) with a not-to-exceed authorization of $70,000; Henderson quoted $59,774 but noted possible additional work once disassembly begins (funding account 640.9964-4350).
Reconstruction payout: the board approved final payout and release of retainage to RW Dunham and Company of Addison in the amount of $39,414.02 for the Kings Point South / Lugo's East roadway reconstruction and drainage improvement project (account 250.9025-4415). Staff said the project was funded largely with RBI monies, inspections were completed, certified payroll and waivers of lien were submitted and found acceptable.
What this means: these routine procurement approvals finalize payment for completed 2024 work, authorize necessary equipment replacement for public-works operations, and move forward with planned sanitary sewer maintenance.
Next steps: projects are considered complete for close-out where final payouts were approved; Public Works will schedule the dump-body replacement work and the sewer-cleaning contractor will be scheduled per the contract terms.
