"All you have to do is go to indianaunclaimed.gov," Fletcher said, adding that the search is free and that staff can help people recover unclaimed wages, savings accounts, stock dividends, insurance proceeds and other assets. Fletcher recommended checking the site roughly twice a year and said his office could assist family searches as well as individual claims.
Fletcher also outlined the office's broader work — consumer protection, Medicaid fraud control and victim services — and cited past recoveries as examples of the office's consumer-focused activity. He concluded by offering staff contact information and thanking local contacts who arranged the presentation.
