Commissioners honor volunteers, proclaim Fair Day and Suicide Prevention Month

The court then considered two proclamations. First, it proclaimed the Friday before the Kendall County Fair as 'Kendall County Fair Day' and a county holiday; the motion carried 5–0. Later, Hill Country MHDD clinic director Meg Pastoreno addressed the court about suicide‑prevention protective factors; the court read and approved a proclamation recognizing September 2025 as Suicide Prevention Month (motion carried 5–0).
Both proclamations included calls for community engagement and acknowledgement of the role of volunteers and mental‑health services in recovery and prevention.
