Separately, the court considered a proposed contract with ClearGov for budgeting software but agreed to table the item while the auditor’s office and staff verify compatibility with the county’s existing NetData system. The county said it will request another vendor demonstration and technical review before moving forward.
Staff also provided a status update on a communications tower project: coordination with the fire department and tower crews, plans to relocate equipment, and active work to improve south-to-north radio and antenna coverage. Staff said work was moving in the right direction and expected progress in the coming weeks.
Commissioners approved the grant-application intent and tabled the software contract; they directed staff to return with more technical detail and demonstrations before authorizing a contract. The communications-tower work is funded in part from prior rollovers discussed earlier in the meeting.
