Hood County attorney urges pay parity under Senate Bill 293

He supplied historical comparisons dating to 2005 and 2013 and asked the court to approve a county supplement so the county attorney’s office remains equal with the district judge and court-at-law positions.
To ease timing and avoid an immediate budget amendment, he offered to forgo pay for September if the court preferred that approach. Commissioners asked for the statutory and record materials the attorney cited and agreed to review them before a formal decision.
