• Candidate forum request — The council approved an AAUW request to use the council chamber for a candidate forum on Feb. 4 and directed staff to return with recommended policy language that would allow administrative approval of future nonpartisan candidate forums that meet specified requirements.
• Arts feasibility/ad hoc — The council directed staff to form an ad hoc working group to develop a feasibility study and arts plan for a proposed art festival; motion moved and seconded and staff will return with details for next steps.
