Multiple councilmembers used the public comment portion of the discussion to commend the city manager’s first-year accomplishments and leadership on projects at Tustin Legacy and elsewhere.
Councilmembers described the manager’s role in advancing multiple legacy projects, changing organizational culture and aligning staff with council vision. Several members said the salary adjustment brings the manager closer to market parity for the position. Following brief remarks and a motion, the clerk called the roll and the council recorded approval.
City staff indicated the change follows procedures for amending local-agency executive compensation and will be reflected in payroll and public records as required by law.
