Mayor Pro Tem and other council members noted Lynch EMS’s service history. "We appreciate Lynch for helping us stand up the fire department — they've done a good job," the Mayor Pro Tem said during remarks thanking Lynch for prior service.
Council moved and seconded the item and approved it on roll call; the clerk recorded affirmative votes from all members present.
The one‑year term and the reported contract amount were included in the staff presentation. The council did not discuss detailed amendments to the services during the motion; staff said the short term will allow time to evaluate providers and the procurement process before a longer commitment.
