The Rancho Santa Margarita City Council presented a certificate of recognition to Line Gear Fire and Rescue Equipment, which staff said is headquartered in the city and supplies wildland boots, fire shelters, hoses, protective clothing and communications equipment to local departments and federal agencies.
Mayor noted Line Gear's founding by Tom and Mona Ramstead and invited owner John Wynne to accept the recognition. Wynne thanked the council and said the business looks forward to continuing service to first responders and remaining part of the community for years to come.
The mayor said the city appreciated the company's support for emergency personnel and noted additional recognitions from state elected officials.
No council action was required; the presentation was ceremonial.
