Center Point fringe-area plan presentation moved to October, county staff says

County planning staff said the Center Point fringe-area plan presentation was listed in error for tonight and will be presented in October by an EC COG consultant; staff will provide a link to the draft plan before the next meeting.
Stephanie Linz, the planning and zoning division manager, told the commission the Center Point fringe-area plan was listed on the agenda in error for this meeting and that the presentation will be rescheduled for the October meeting with an EC COG consultant in attendance. “There will be a representative here in October to present the fringe area plan,” Linz said.
Linz said the plan covers the two-mile area outside the City of Center Point and describes recommended growth patterns. She said staff will provide a link to the draft plan and additional details prior to the October meeting so commissioners can review the material and ask questions during that presentation.
No action on the fringe-area plan was taken tonight.
