Linn County approves updated Exhibit A to MHDS MOU, reflecting hires and a retirement

The Linn County Board of Supervisors voted to approve and authorize the chair to sign an updated Exhibit A to the memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Mental Health and Disability Services (MHDS) of the East Central Region that lists staff positions eligible for reimbursement for the period July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026.

Jody Bridgewater, representing the East Central Region Disability Access Point, presented the updated roster and explained recent staffing changes: “Raja, Holly, and Joanie have been with us since, July. Cecilia McCray retired in July, and then Jennifer starts this morning.” Bridgewater said the roster presented is the full team roster for the MOU period and noted that some people filling roles in the office are not Linn County employees.

Supervisors asked whether the updated Exhibit A merely reflected previously approved positions and whether the county would be protected for expenses that arrive after the region’s June 30 closeout. Bridgewater and others said there is a six-month closeout period and that anticipated post-closeout bills should be considered during reimbursement accounting.

After brief remarks thanking staff for their work during the transition, the board approved the updated Exhibit A by voice vote and asked county staff to watch for reimbursement and post-closeout expense issues.

What happens next: The chair was authorized to sign the updated Exhibit A; county staff will monitor reimbursements and any expenses that arise during the region’s closeout period.
