The Mission Viejo City Council approved the consent calendar by unanimous voice vote with Council Member Kelly recorded as excused.
A council member moved and another seconded the consent calendar; the mayor reported a unanimous vote with Kelly out. No contested items were pulled from consent.
In brief updates, the mayor said the city plans a website revitalization and has added a wedding and events page for the municipal golf course. The mayor also provided a short update on an insurance ad hoc committee and said a town hall involving county and Los Angeles resources — and participation from Assemblywoman Kate Sanchez — is likely in the next 60 to 90 days to discuss property insurance concerns.
Mayor Pro Tem Bucknam promoted the weekend night market "Love Fest" and reminded residents that Mission Viejo provides sandbags at seven locations across the city, listing Norman P. Murray Center, City Hall, Marty Russo Youth Athletic Park, Crate Craft Park, Gillern Park, the Animal Shelter and others.
Mayor Roosch closed the meeting with a short remark and adjourned at about 6:35 p.m.
The consent calendar vote was recorded as unanimous with one excused absence; there were no further formal actions on the agenda at this meeting.
