Board approves guaranteed maximum prices for three elementary modernizations tied to Measure X

The board voted May 28 to approve guaranteed maximum prices and contingencies for three elementary modernization projects that are part of the district’s Measure X program.
Chief Business Official Susanna Lopez told trustees the projects were originally grouped under an earlier resolution and are now brought forward individually for GMP approval. The approved amounts are: Hendrick Ranch Elementary — $9,900,000 GMP with $600,000 contingency; Hidden Springs Elementary — $13,400,000 GMP with $810,000 contingency; and Seneca Elementary — $10,400,000 GMP with $630,000 contingency. Lopez noted those contingencies (about 6%) are below the district’s modernization standard percentages.
Lopez said the approvals follow the board’s prior lease‑leaseback contract awards and are timed to leverage local bond funds (Measure X) alongside state modernization grant dollars. Trustees voted to approve the resolutions and staff will proceed with contract finalization and project scheduling.
