- Engineering grant application: The board authorized the chair to sign a preliminary engineering grant application for structure 42‑080‑193 on County Road 117 under the state Department of Transportation Bridge Improvement Program. Terry Floyd said the total project is roughly $74,000 with a grant request near $60,000 and the county share about $15,000; the authorization passed.
- Public defender office budgeting: Commissioners voted unanimously to add preliminary PDO budget numbers to the county’s draft budget for review (see separate article on the PDO discussion).
- Old courthouse assessment: The board voted to table the request for further old courthouse work pending contractor/builder cost numbers; staff were directed to obtain more detailed estimates before the commission considers demolition or renovation options.
All roll calls recorded in the transcript showed unanimous support for approved motions; no contested votes were recorded in the meeting minutes.
