Commission approves second contractor-shop building in industrial park

The Lincoln County Planning Commission approved a conditional-use permit June 12 to allow a second 11,220-square-foot contractor-shop building as phase two in a planned industrial area adjacent to City T. County planner Toby Brown said the site is zoned I-1 light industrial and that surrounding uses are consistent with contractor shops and warehousing.
Applicant Chad Jaber told the commission the second facility is the intended second phase and that the first building is completed. City staff in the adjacent municipality reviewed the site and had no objections, Brown said.
No members of the public spoke in opposition; the commission voted by roll call to approve the application with the five conditions listed in the staff report. One county commission representative abstained as a customary practice.
The applicant may proceed with building permits subject to the listed conditions and any required city or county reviews.
