FJUHSD honors scholarship winners and Employees of the Year at May meeting

The Fullerton Joint Union High School District used its May board meeting to honor student scholarship recipients, site Employees of the Year and district honorees.
FSTO presented six scholarships to seniors pursuing careers in education, including recipients Sue Chai (Sunny Hills), Salma Galindo (La Habra), Elise Zuleta (Fullerton Union), Arianna Garcia Prado (Sonora), Alina Santana (Sonora), and Caitlin Eppert (Sonora; absent). Each student’s accomplishments were summarized by presenters and school staff.
Assistant Superintendent Ed Atkinson recognized classified and certificated Employees of the Year from across district campuses, and named district-level honorees including Marlene Godinez (classified) and Maroon Nahimi and Caroline Cardenas (certificated). The presentations included brief remarks about each recipient’s service and impact on students and school communities.
Trustees and district leaders applauded the honorees and encouraged community members to attend spring performances and graduation ceremonies noted in school reports.
