Trustee Anderson asked for more data before next year on a contract amendment for medical itemization (Carouselis Medical), and staff said they would follow up; staff explained that competing vendors quoted the same 7% fee.
On the discussion/action calendar the board approved two certificated credential waivers. The first allowed a CTE teacher to continue providing instruction while enrolled in coursework to obtain an authorization to serve limited‑English‑proficient students, as required by the state. The second waiver allowed an employee assigned to teach secondary drivers education to continue teaching while seeking enrollment in an appropriate preparation program if one becomes available. Both waiver motions were moved, seconded and approved by roll call votes of 7‑0.
All motions were recorded as carried with unanimous support; no motions failed or were tabled at the meeting.
