Teacher urges Garden Grove board to adopt policy on who may host videos on school websites

He asked whether there should be written criteria for who qualifies for hosting, whether donations should be required, and how long materials should remain online.
Board members and staff responded that authority has been handled at various levels — principals, the superintendent and the board — and that Dibbs had previously raised the issue. No trustee directed staff at the Aug. 4 meeting to return with a written policy or schedule a future action item; the comment concluded without a formal commitment to change district practice.
Dibbs said he wants clarity so others may request equivalent access and to ensure consistent standards for what is hosted on school webpages. The board did not vote or take formal action on the request during the session.
