Assembly files no-protest on Borealis Base Camp alcohol-license transfer

The Fairbanks North Star Borough Assembly voted during its Sept. 11 meeting to file a formal "no protest" for an application to transfer controlling interest in an outdoor recreation-lodge alcohol license for Borealis Base Camp (2640 Himalaya Road).
Deputy Chief of Staff Amy Galloway delivered the administration’s staff report, which said the property’s zoning permits an outdoor recreation lodge with a restaurant endorsement, property taxes were current and the administration recommended filing no protest. The license transfer would consolidate ownership within the LLC structure (Stellar Collection LLC as transferee).
No members of the public signed up to testify on the transfer. Assemblymember Crass moved to file no protest; the motion was seconded and carried on a unanimous roll-call vote recorded by the clerk.
Outcome: the Assembly’s no-protest filing allows the transfer process to proceed through the borough’s licensing channels; staff noted the premises and endorsements remain unchanged.
