Minnehaha County commissioners approved a $200,000 contract with Architecture Incorporated (in partnership with Tiger Group and HDR) to develop a campus master plan for county facilities.
Meredith Jericho of the commission office told the board an RFP yielded eight proposals; a selection committee interviewed three firms and recommended Architecture Incorporated. "Their proposal also emphasized communication throughout the process, including monthly meetings with the county's master planning committee, scheduled updates to the building committee ... and community engagement meetings," Jericho said.
Jericho said the contract amount is inclusive of all costs and is within the county budget for the project, and she identified a target completion date of March 2026. Commissioners voiced support for having a strategic plan to guide the county's use of limited campus square footage, with one commissioner calling the plan "of strategic value to the county." A motion to approve the contract was made, seconded and carried by roll call.
An Andrew from Architecture Incorporated was present at the meeting for questions; staff said work would start as soon as possible if the contract is approved.
