The board approved a Franklin County right-of-way permit allowing the City of Missouri to place detour signage and reroute truck traffic around a water-main project on S 14. Supervisors discussed truck-route suitability for local streets and confirmed the county's role is to permit detour signage and enforce routing.
The board also granted an application to construct a subdrain and a secondary right-of-way for Dallas Hofmeister to bore tile across 65th Street. Members discussed standard bore techniques, the use of heavier well-casing-type pipe for bore operations, and typical conditions for tile work under county roads.
Finally, the board approved closure of Quail Avenue between 105th Street and Walnut Drive as of Aug. 26 for bridge construction and repair after staff described a hole in the bridge deck and the need for steel plate protection. Staff said a full deck replacement is anticipated next spring and crews were placing plates and dirt patches as a short-term fix.
All three measures were approved by motion and voice vote; no public opposition was recorded at the meeting.
