Finance and home‑care: The board approved Resolution 202545, an operating transfer related to home care. Tax abatement and nuisance properties: The board approved a tax abatement resolution (25‑46) at the request of the City of Hampton for several properties the city acquired through nuisance proceedings; supervisors voted to approve the resolution by roll call with the same recorded ayes.
Right‑of‑way and street vacations: Supervisors held a public hearing on vacating historic streets and right‑of‑way in Burdett/Cloundham (Harris Street, Latham Street, Bodie Street and Raven Avenue among others). Staff explained that some earlier transactions in the 1930s were not recorded and that deeds and abstracts needed correction; the board approved two separate resolutions (north portion / clean‑up and south portion contingent on utility relocations) to clear title and return land to adjoining owners where appropriate.
Permits and drainage district actions: The board approved county utility permit applications for MediaCom Iowa LLC to place coaxial cable along 170th Street (motion moved and seconded, approved by voice vote). The board also approved Drainage District utility permits 25‑8 and 25‑9 for Alliant Energy in Scott Township after confirming the installations did not cross tile, and voted to relinquish county control of DD47 effective Oct. 1 (roll call recorded ayes from Lukensmeyer, McVicker, Van Ness).
Each motion on the agenda was moved and seconded where required; most measures passed unanimously as recorded in either voice roll calls or by individual roll call votes.
