The board approved the minutes of its Aug. 19, 2025 regular meeting and accepted the day’s agenda after staff requested deletion of one public‑hearing item and holding another until Oct. 7, 2025. The consent agenda (items 7–41) was approved by motion.
Staff introduced an ordinance to amend Clark County Air Quality Regulation Sections 13 and 14 to incorporate federal updates to national emission standards for hazardous air pollutants and new source performance standards effective July 1, 2025; the board set a public hearing on the ordinance for 10/07/2025 at 10 a.m.
Commissioners presented proclamations recognizing Latino Heritage Month and declared Fall Prevention Awareness Week with a fall‑prevention screening event scheduled Sept. 19 at the Silverado Ranch Community Center. County employees from the District Attorney’s Office and the Building Department were recognized as Clark County value champions.
The board also moved preliminary approval for a Holiday 1 Halloween pumpkin patch (see separate article) and appointed Lisa Kramer to a three‑year term on the Airport Hazard Areas Board of Adjustment ending Oct. 15, 2028.
