A commissioner moved "that we approve the agreement with Trinity Food Services," and the motion carried.
Separately, commissioners approved an agreement with NCIC Correctional Services to provide tablet‑based communications and a law‑library platform for detainees. The undersheriff described operational and security features of the system, saying each inmate will be checked out a tablet with a unique PIN and that the software can obscure non‑permitted content and generate keyword alerts for monitoring.
EMS Chief Chris McCann asked the board to approve the purchase of a new ambulance, stating the total price is "$339,702," which includes roughly $60,000 of power‑load equipment. McCann told commissioners some of the purchase will be covered by emergency preparedness working‑group (EPWG) funds and infrastructure‑tax funds but noted EPWG funding was still awaiting DEM approval. The board approved the ambulance purchase contingent on receipt of the EPWG funds.
