Public Works presented a recommendation to approve a roster of six on-call consultants for construction management, inspection and plan-checking services. Staff said the on-call contracts streamline awarding city projects and that proposals were evaluated on qualifications, assigned personnel, approach and cost.
Public Works said it received 20 proposals and recommends six firms for three-year contracts not to exceed $600,000 per contract. Council moved and approved the recommendation unanimously (5–0). Staff said spending under each on-call contract will be in compliance with the city—s approved budget and project-level budget approvals would continue to be required.
