The Fountain Valley City Council approved a request on Feb. 4 to purchase and outfit a 2028 Pierce Enforcer fire engine and to dispose of a 2001 American LaFrance engine consistent with Carl Moyer grant requirements.
Battalion Chief Matt Barr told the council the purchase order would be issued under an existing cooperative contract with Sourcewell and that a full prepayment option produced a lower price.
