Assistant City Manager Eddie Fenton said the current MOU and compensation plan expire July 4, 2025. The parties reached a tentative agreement ratified by the association, producing a two‑year contract that includes a 5% cost‑of‑living adjustment effective July 5, 2025, and an additional 5% effective July 4, 2026, along with greater employer contributions to medical insurance and enhancements to dental and vision benefits starting January 2026. Fenton estimated the total budget impact at approximately $1.2 million over the two‑year term and said changes will be incorporated into the proposed FY 2025–26 budget.
Council moved, seconded and approved the recommended action unanimously.
