Brea City Council approved the consent calendar on March 18, 2025. The motion to approve was moved and seconded and recorded as passed. Councilmember Marty announced an abstention on item 4f, a solid-waste agreement, because of employment with a company that provides solid-waste services in Orange County and delivers material to county landfills.
Representatives from Republic Services attended the meeting after being asked to respond to questions about service for mobile home parks. Republic’s operations manager, Justin Bell, said Republic had visited the three mobile home parks and developed a plan to provide service under the new program before the council. A Republic representative named Michael also addressed council questions about access to bins for mobile home residents.
The council recorded the motion as passed with the abstention on item 4f noted in the public record. The city successor-agency consent calendar item 5a was later approved 5–0.
