Residents press Royal Oak commissioners on eScribe agenda center, master plan and Sheetz proposal

Other commenters urged the commission to ensure residents and small-business owners are informed about master-plan illustrations and potential rezonings. PG warned the commission to keep neighborhood character and taxpayers in mind when considering zoning changes and said some communities have rejected Sheetz gas stations; Bob Stuglin said he personally visited nearby businesses that reported they were unaware of the master-plan renderings.
Mayor acknowledged the rollout challenges and said staff will review suggested improvements; staff and commissioners encouraged use of the QR sign-in and follow-up options. The commission did not take formal action on eScribe at this meeting but asked staff to consider public feedback.
