Uxbridge planning board continues Quaker Highway public hearing to Oct. 8

The Town of Uxbridge planning board formally continued a public hearing for a Quaker Highway property to Oct. 8 at 6 p.m. in the Lower Town Hall after the applicant failed to appear.
S1 noted the applicant for the first public hearing was not present and said the panel had already continued the matter twice. Board members recounted prior communications and asked staff to notify the applicant that one more chance would be granted before staff pursues action on occupancy permits. "If he doesn't come in, I guess we're gonna take action," S1 said when setting expectations.
The board moved and seconded a formal continuation to Oct. 8 at 6 p.m.; the motion passed on a voice vote. S3 and other board members discussed that the applicant had been told previously (at a July meeting and earlier hearings) to submit an updated site plan, and staff reported no new plan had been received by Jeff Shaw. The board recorded the continuation and instructed staff to monitor submission and attendance for the next scheduled date.
The action preserves the applicant's opportunity to present an updated site plan but signals the board's intent to enforce permit requirements if the applicant again fails to appear.
