The Oregon House of Representatives briefly convened in the Senate chamber and then adjourned after a roll call found no quorum, the presiding officer said. "A quorum is not present. In compliance with Article 4 Section 12 of the Oregon Constitution and House Rule 3.05, the house will adjourn until 11AM, Friday, 10/03/2025," the presiding officer said.
The session opened with the presiding officer noting a busy week in the state capital and that the Senate would convene later in the morning. The presiding officer explained the House chamber remains under construction and that, for this convening, the House would meet in the Senate chamber.
The clerk read a roll call listing many members. Several members were recorded as excused for the convening. After the roll call, the presiding officer announced that a quorum was not present and ordered adjournment. The adjournment was entered "without objection," and the House is scheduled to reconvene at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2025.
The presiding officer closed the brief session with a thank you.
