In the Senate session, Chair Pruzanski asked Senator Thatcher to move to adopt the proposed rules; a roll call was taken and the motion passed. The presiding officer then closed that organizational meeting. On the House side, Chair Cropp moved to adopt the same proposed rules; roll call confirmed the motion passed and the House organizational meeting was closed.
The adoptions were procedural and set the committees' operating rules for the day's joint informational hearings. Committee staff said any follow‑up questions about the rules or requests for copies should be directed to counsel.
The committees then proceeded into scheduled informational hearings on crime trends, officer identification, corrections health services, HB 4086 study work and deflection programs.
