Board member Tyler moved to approve the committee charges; Zach seconded and the board voted aye. “The Citizens Oversight Committee charge and Finance Committee charge moved by Tyler, seconded by Zach. Passes unanimously from board members present,” a board officer announced.
The superintendent said the work would be a “heavy lift” and signaled reliance on volunteer committee members with possible consultant or retired-administrator support for analysis; no specific consulting budget was approved at the meeting. Trustees discussed outreach strategies to recruit committee members and agreed staff would circulate draft charges and begin committee work in September.
The vote was procedural authorization for committees to begin work and did not itself reallocate appropriations; the board did not adopt any immediate facility- or bond-spending decisions at the meeting.
