Manager Smith told the board the parade closure request is “pretty standard” and that the township forwards approved closure resolutions to the sheriff’s office, which issues the on‑the‑ground approvals. Smith said the triathlon request came from the same organizer that runs the larger triathlon and that the youth event was “pretty excited” to return after not running last year.
The consent agenda included correspondence that the board directed to be received and placed on the public record: a planning commissioner resignation. A board member praised the Downtown Development Authority annual report, saying it showed a broader township vision that benefits residents and businesses alike. Trustees also discussed a new code‑enforcement report format and suggested adding brief narrative lines (initial complaint date, staff response, and any action taken) while noting legal constraints on disclosing sensitive details.

A board member commended the DDA annual report as “very informative” and said it demonstrated a vision that includes the whole township. Trustees suggested the code‑enforcement report include concise narratives of each case (date of complaint, response, and action taken) while balancing legal confidentiality. Staff confirmed that assisted‑living facilities have participated in past holiday outreach and said they would explore arranging visits by event characters for residents.
