Supervisor Grace Lespronts said the township’s strategic-plan public input led to master‑plan changes and the zoning code must now be updated accordingly. The proposed subcommittee members are the Supervisor, Treasurer (Khorsstange/Khorsandj variant), Trustee Rizzi (former long‑time planning commission member), and Planning Commission Chair Alan Rowland. Staff estimated a draft could be ready within roughly two months, but board members discussed making the timeline flexible and noted consultant transitions at McKenna; staff said Chris Corey from McKenna will support the transition.
Trustee Rizzi moved to create the committee and appoint the slate with the understanding that the timeline was an estimate; Trustee Shipley supported the motion and the board approved by voice vote. Staff said the committee would work with planning staff and bring draft language back to the planning commission and the board for review before any adoption process.
