Moore County planning board introduced new planning director, staff and upcoming training

Assistant County Manager Laura Williams formally introduced Ruth Peterson as Moore County's new planning director, effective May 31, and thanked Deborah Ensminger for her long service and continued role supporting the land use plan update. Williams told the board a work session with the Board of Commissioners is scheduled for Aug. 5 to discuss the land use plan and that Ensminger will help bring the updated plan to fruition.
Later in the meeting the planning director (previously introduced) thanked the board for the opportunity to serve and said she looked forward to working with members in her new capacity. Planning staff announced the county will provide access to a School of Government board training via a link, available for about a year, and introduced Ashley Robinson as the planning department's new administrative officer, who will appear on future meeting communications and packet notices.
No formal votes were associated with the personnel introductions; staff said training links and schedules will be sent to board members.
