A board member then moved to recommend approval of amendments to Chapter 6 (Principal Use Table, Section 6.1) and Chapter 8 (Specific Use Standards, Section 8.92.C.1), the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote.
Board members asked for clarification about why the amendment specifically named the three zoning districts; Ruth explained those were the districts where churches and schools previously required a special use permit and the amendment removes that requirement for those districts. The board's recommendation will be forwarded to the Moore County Board of Commissioners for final action.
