After returning from an executive session on personnel matters and collective bargaining, the board announced and approved several personnel actions.
The appointments announced and approved were: John Donahue to a full-time regular permanent bargaining-unit canine care technician position with starting compensation of $17.69 per hour (T and S bargaining unit, pay grade 18, step 1, with the probationary period required by the collective bargaining agreement); Bridal Menenez and Carly Raduski to full-time classified regular permanent bargaining-unit economic support worker positions with starting compensation of $16.88 per hour (JFS bargaining unit, pay grade 26, step 1); and Julia Drabek to a vacant full-time classified regular permanent non-bargaining-unit budget analyst/hotel-motel administrator position with starting compensation of $35.07 per hour (NBU pay grade 26, step 3) and a 180-day probationary period. The board also approved the addition of one full-time regular permanent non-bargaining-unit budget analyst position (NBU pay grade 26) in the Office of Management and Budget.
Commissioner Gerken moved the motion to approve the personnel actions; the clerk recorded roll-call affirmatives (the transcript records “Yes” votes from Commissioners Gerken, Lopez and Cebecchi). The agenda language in the public record described pay grades, step placements and probationary requirements and tied probationary periods to collective bargaining agreement provisions where applicable.
The board adjourned after announcing the approvals and set the next meeting for October 7 at 11:00 a.m.
