La Porte ISD technology staff updated trustees on classroom devices, infrastructure upgrades and cybersecurity posture during the board meeting.
Staff said teachers now receive district‑provided laptops and that students in grades 3–12 are supported with HP laptops; prekindergarten through grade 2 received Apple iPads with open‑air charging carts, impact‑resistant cases and headphones. New PCs were purchased for CTE Adobe and AutoCAD labs, and second graders received keyboards to support online testing.
