Chair Eileen Lee told commissioners she reviewed the city agenda and did not find the allocation listed for the next meeting; she said she will contact city staff (Jordan or Mr. McCarty) to confirm whether the item will be scheduled and will follow up if it is not. Lee emphasized the commission wants to ensure the funding request advances so the city can provide captioning services.
Earlier in the meeting the chair also reported the commission’s available balance as $138,001.22 based on the treasurer’s last report; the treasurer was absent and the meeting did not record any formal budgetary vote on the captioning proposal.
No formal motion to authorize or transfer funds was recorded at the meeting; commissioners agreed to monitor the city agenda and to remind relevant staff of the commission’s interest in allocating money for captioning services.
