Council approves renaming King's Court to Great Futures Way over local objection

Property owner John White objected in public input, saying the historic name reflected the city’s colonial past and that he favored retention of the existing name.
After public input closed, a motion to grant the petition was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote. Attorney Costa explained the council’s authority to rename a private way open to the public under state law and confirmed that a public hearing had been held as required.
