The LaPorte County Alcoholic Beverage Commission conducted routine business on June 5, approving a set of license renewals and voting to accept previously circulated meeting minutes.
At the start of the session, the chair listed three renewals for Board 1, including a fraternity chapter at 401 Alfred in Michigan City, Harbor County Adventures Incorporated (200 Heisman Harbor), and Ballard General Store #11765. Board members moved and seconded a recommendation related to Lighthouse Liquors (501 Washington Street, Michigan City); the board voted "Aye" with no recorded opposition and proceeded to the next agenda item.
After approving the new permit for Dollar General, the board voted to approve the May 1 meeting minutes following a motion and second. Board 1 adjourned. The meeting then convened Board 2, whose members were introduced (chair said "myself, Lisa, Daniel King," with Rodney McCormick and Matt Sikorski also on the panel). Board 2 recorded three automatic renewals (DBA Dix Bar/El Vocero/Montes), approved its May 1 minutes by unanimous voice vote, and adjourned shortly thereafter.
No remonstrations or public opposition to the permits were recorded during either board session.
