Huntington Woods ' At its April 22 meeting the Huntington Woods City Commission approved a set of routine but consequential items, including financing for an equipment lease and a new fire truck, a migration of the city's 457 deferred-compensation plan to MERS, and several administrative resolutions and appointments.
Among the votes recorded: commissioners approved an equipment lease-purchase financing agreement with Bank of America through Verigee LLC (item 1); set a public hearing on the proposed fiscal 2025-26 budget for May 20 at 7:30 p.m. and received the proposed budget; approved third-quarter budget amendments including benefit-account adjustments and accounting moves for road and sewer funds; approved an annual mutual-aid public-works agreement; and authorized a resolution to seek roughly $800 in county reimbursement for West Nile virus control supplies.
Personnel and governance items included appointments of Kevin Wayne as Huntington Woods's representative and Andrew Pasachowski as alternate to the Southeast Oakland County Water Authority and the reciprocal arrangement for the Southeast Oakland County Resource Recovery Authority. The commission also approved a change to the city's 457 plan administration, moving the plan to MERS to reduce fees and improve record keeping.
Financial and capital items included approval of a $391,493 finance agreement with Community Leasing Partners for a new fire truck, as well as the FDM road-and-sewer contract (covered separately). The commission recorded each motion by voice vote.
