Motions carried by voice vote. Speaker 3 moved to approve the agenda and Speaker 4 seconded; the motion carried. The board approved minutes dated June 30 and claims for payment dated 07/09/2025. The board approved utility permits UT2025-13 (Midland Power Cooperative), UT2025-14 (Iowa Regional Utilities Association) and UT2025-15 (Interstate Power and Light) after brief technical descriptions that included directional boring plans, pipe sizes and required depths. The board also approved the sheriff's monthly report for June.
On personnel, Speaker 4 moved to approve the hiring of Mark Riefke as a correctional officer at a rate of $22.23 an hour; the motion was seconded and carried.
