Browder addressed resident confusion about evictions, stating evictions are carried out by the Denton County Constable’s office and that state law and city ordinance timelines (including a 7‑day ordinance reference) constrain immediate cleanup actions; the city coordinates with the constable and property owners to manage post‑eviction clearances.
Council thanked staff for clarifying processes and asked for continued public education to reduce misunderstanding and online vitriol about visible eviction debris and enforcement actions.
