Bluffdale City Council approved several consent items, tabled others for additional review and voted to hold a closed meeting to discuss litigation.
On the consent agenda, the council approved Resolution 2025-80, an agreement with Sustainable Real Estate Solutions (SRS) to satisfy a state mandate for a program the city lacks staff resources to operate. Council Member Astin moved approval and Council Member Wilding seconded; the roll-call vote was recorded as affirmative and the motion passed.
Resolution 2025-81, an agreement with the Utah Division of Forestry and Fire, was not ready for final action because the state requested additional changes; the council moved to table that item.
A separate appointment item contained a typo naming the audit committee instead of the budget review committee. An amendment to correct the typographical error failed on a roll-call vote; after discussion, the council voted to table Resolution 2025-82 to allow staff to reopen the application/process and evaluate additional candidates.
The council also approved Resolution 2025-83 on the consent agenda by roll-call vote.
Late in the meeting the council voted to move into a closed meeting regarding litigation. The motion to convene the closed session (moved by Council Member Lord, seconded by Council Member Crockett) passed on a roll-call vote.
Votes at a glance: - Resolution 2025-80 (agreement with Sustainable Real Estate Solutions): moved by Council Member Astin, seconded by Council Member Wilding; outcome: approved (roll-call vote in favor). - Resolution 2025-81 (Utah Division of Forestry and Fire agreement): motion to table; outcome: tabled (state requested changes). - Resolution 2025-82 (appointment to budget review committee / packet typo): amendment to correct committee designation failed; substitute motion to table passed; outcome: tabled for further review. - Resolution 2025-83: moved and seconded; outcome: approved (roll-call vote in favor).
The meeting adjourned into a closed session on litigation following unanimous council approval of the motion to convene a closed meeting.
