Commissioners adopt library board bylaw revisions and approve several appointments

Lincoln County commissioners voted to adopt revised bylaws for the Library Board of Trustees and approved a set of board and commission appointments.
Dr. Jennifer Sackett told the board the bylaws were rewritten to clarify roles and standardize practices with other county advisory boards; she said the library board unanimously recommended the revisions and asked the commissioners to adopt them. The board approved the bylaw revisions by voice vote.
Later in the meeting Commissioner Mullen moved to appoint Daniel Rotems to the planning board (Howard's Creek Township), Mike Devaughn to the social services board, and to reappoint Lauren Hebner, Wanda Clary and Melinda Hauser to positions on the council on aging; the board approved the slate by voice vote.
No votes were recorded against the motions during the meeting; appointments will be implemented per county procedures.
