Neosho council approves Branco contracts for ADA ramps and Scenic Park work, and OKs Schaeffer Building demolition

The council also approved Resolution 2025-21 to accept Branco’s $47,665 contract to construct concrete sidewalks and asphalt parking areas in Scenic Park. Kenny (Speaker 13) told the council this follows the bid approvals made moments earlier and recommended acceptance; the motion passed 7-0.
Separately, the council authorized Resolution 2025-22, awarding a demolition contract for 224 North Washington (the Schaeffer Building) to Courtney Construction LLC (bid $127,000). Richard (Speaker 7) said staff recommends authorization of the contract and noted a projected start date in late June or approximately 10 days after notice to proceed. The vote to award the contract was 7-0.
