AHAB dissolves revenue subcommittee and approves monthly 2026 meetings

At the Sept. 11 meeting the Affordable Housing Advisory Board voted on two procedural items intended to streamline work and broaden participation.
First, the board considered staff recommendations to dissolve the revenue subcommittee and have revenue-related work handled by the full board. A motion to dissolve the committee was made, seconded and passed by recorded voice vote with five members in favor.
Second, staff proposed moving regular AHAB meetings to a monthly schedule (5:30–7:30 p.m., January–November) to provide more time for both trust-fund application work and ongoing revenue-policy discussions. The board moved and seconded the motion to accept the schedule recommendation; the motion passed by voice vote (five in favor).
Both changes are procedural; staff said the monthly schedule would allow the board to dedicate roughly half the year to trust-fund work while maintaining ongoing meetings to consider revenue policy and related items.
Next steps: staff will publish the 2026 meeting schedule and update members; work previously assigned to the revenue subcommittee will be reallocated to the full AHAB at regular meetings.
